The Shangri-La Hotel will be holding an "Opera Rocks!" event at their Island Ballroom. A group of performers from the USA: "Singers Beyond Borders" will be flying to Singapore for a one-night-only performance that will be accompanied by a four course gala dinner.
"Singers Beyond Borders" are a group of artists who are dedicated to providing opportunities for the enjoyment of vocal music performances while raising awareness and support for charitable organisations around the globe.
On 29 March 2010, they will present a musical repertoire of well known opera songs such as Questa O Quella from Rigoletto and popular ballads such as A Whole New World from Aladdin and Over the Rainbow from The Wizard of Oz.
In line with the theme of "rocks", a menu based on mineral elements will accompany the gala dinner.
