If you can’t get to the shops without the kids, at least go somewhere with a playground. The kids will put up with the shopping knowing that the fun will soon come. Here’s a roundup of 12 shopping centres with playgrounds (both wet and dry) that you can plan happy shopping trips around!

Changi City Point, Changi

Children can choose to play in the wet or dry playground (or both). The wet area, features spraying fountains, mini pools and swings while the dry area has a treetop obstacle trail to cross and climb.

VivoCity, Harbour Front


The mini playground and water fountain on Level 2 are suitable for small children. There are swings and lots of fun equipment. Not much shade, so it can be hot. There is also a roof-top skypark garden and massive water feature.

Nex, Serangoon




The SkyGarden playground has overhead sprinklers and big rotating buckets tipping out water. The dry area has multiple slides, a big crawling area and activities for children to enjoy. Recommended for children aged five to 12.

IMM Building, Jurong East

Discover tipping buckets, flower-shaped windmills and plenty of colour at the water playground. Nearby is a shaded dry playground with rock-climbing walls. Visit the recently launched seven-metre-high treehouse playground.

Sembawang Shopping Centre

Oodles of space in this 15,000-square-feet open-air splash area. There are water pistols, tipping frogs, water propellers and lots more. The dry play area alongside is sheltered from the sun under a canopy. A small bathing area is located nearby. Recommended for children under 12 years old.
