Once again, Tanah Merah Country Club plays host to some of the champions in women’s golf, as they return to Singapore to compete for the champion's title and not inconsequential prize fund of US$1.3 million.
Players qualify for the HSBC Women’s Champions by winning tournaments on the LPGA Tour and by placing in the Top 20 on the Rolex Women's World Golf Rankings.
The 2009 HSBC Women’s Champions saw the World’s Top ten players challenge for the title. In the end, Korean Major Winner Ji Yai Shin stormed to victory with a flawless final round 66.
