What started out as a quick drink turned into a big night at the latest live music venue to hit Singapore. Live! @ Bojangles, located just off Orchard Road in the basement of Tanglin Shopping Centre, has a great musical line-up, with a vast array of local and regional talent.

The place is vibrant and was bustling with a lively crowd when we visited. The bright, funky wall-art adds to the ambience of this purpose-built venue. While different bands take to the stage, the music is centred around Paul Ponnudurai, who is recognised as one of the best singers and guitarists in the region.

We took full advantage of the bar’s happy hour, which runs for most of the evening: 50 percent off everything including beer, wines, spirits and bottles from 5pm to 9pm, then 20 percent off drinks until midnight.  

If you love live music, look no further than Bojangles. Here you’ll get a healthy dose of R&B, funk, and a sprinkling of sixties and seventies Motown to boot.
