With property prices continuing to rise and a recent record set when a Sentosa bungalow sold for $36M, the Singapore property market is looking pretty optimistic. Mass-market homes are already higher than at the 2008 peak, and the high-end private market is playing catch-up. Despite the gloom and bearishness of global markets, Singapore continues to shine. It ticks all the boxes: excellent record of security and safety; strong and transparent government; high liquidity. However, some market-watchers expect prices to dip towards the end of the year, affected by the global climate and the launch of many new, high-end condominiums in the next few months.
