Remember the days of Embargo and Lush, when One Fullerton was the height of cool? We are happy to say that this prime riverside spot has made a comeback. Over Easy, part of the Loof, Butter Factory and White Rabbit group, is one of the new bars along the strip, and it’s buzzing.

The Crowd: Anyone who feels ancient among the throngs of fake-ID flashing-teenagers down at Clarke Quay.

The Tunes: We were there on a Friday night and the  DJ was spinning a wicked selection of old-skool vinyl.

Our Tipple: Erdinger, sambuca shots

What We Like: Sitting on the boardwalk overlooking the river, listening to good music being played at a volume that doesn’t make your ears bleed. There is a real buzz about this place and the bar snacks are bloomin’ delicious: Tender Philly cheese-steak sliders, chicken wings served with a fabulous lime and sour cream dip, and don’t even get us started on the nachos with sausage, cheese and guacamole dip.

Best Time to Go: Every day before 8pm, drinks are one-for-one. Things start hotting up around 11pm, so it’s best to get there early and claim a table – being able to sit down is very important to us ageing party animals.
